New year, new news! This is a cover reveal for my new book, my third book, called "Launching Liberty." The book is a World War II story. At its core, it's about people -- billionaires and housewives, politicians, electricians, and plumbers, moms, dads, teenagers and retirees -- who all came together in a time of need to conduct the largest shipbuilding operation in American history -- 13,000 ships. Of those ships, 3,000 were ugly cargo ships, longer than a football field, 10 stories tall, and capable of carrying hundreds of tanks, jeeps, bombs, guns and supplies to our fighting men overseas battling Nazi Germany and Japan.
The book comes out in August, but is officially available for pre-order now. (Might as well order it now so you don't forget!) I am encouraging my local friends and local readers to order from Wellesley Books, to support local bookstores. And I will do my best to sign those books! But buy it wherever it's convenient for you. Over the next year you may get a little tired of me talking about this. It's been a project five years in the making, completed only with the love and support of my family.
